  Checking water temperatures is important and can be crucial in trout fishing and the survival of trout.  We have made 68 degrees Fahrenheit the warmest water we will fish for trout.  This protects the fish and will keep them healthy and help future generations of trout and fishers. 

  We also like to check water temperatures out of curiosity and compare notes to other days on the water.  It is all a fun part of the science of the sport.
